Apple Music has released an update today to its free streaming service, adding a new section for the streaming service’s most popular songs.
The new section allows users to add Apple Music songs to their queue.
The songs are curated based on the artist’s profile and will be available on the service’s website, iTunes Store, and Apple Music’s mobile apps.
If a user wants to add a song to their playlist, they can click the ‘Add to queue’ button, then choose the genre, album, artist, and track.
Apple says these are all the information that the music has to offer and it’s up to the artist to choose what’s appropriate for their music.
The update comes as Apple has been struggling to build up a new streaming library.
In the first quarter of this year, it released just five new songs, including the hit “Work From Home,” a hit by Justin Bieber, and two of the album-length pop songs “Love Is a Verb” and “I Will Always Love You.”
Apple Music’s recent updates include a new music-specific playlist feature, the ability to add artists to the queue, and a new feature for users to download the latest song from the Apple Music app.
