This is how I make my orange fruit compotes.
You can either use regular compote or a sweetened version.
1 cup sugar 3 tablespoons orange juice 2 tablespoons honey 1 teaspoon vanilla 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon 2 tablespoons lemon juice 2 tablespoon water 2 teaspoons dried fruit pulp 2 tablespoons dried mango pulp 3 tablespoons coconut milk 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar 1 tablespoon water 1 teaspoon dried mango extract 1 teaspoon crushed black pepper 1 teaspoon cinnamon salt and pepper To make the compote: Combine all the ingredients in a food processor until smooth.
Add water and pulse until the pulp is smooth.
Place the pulp in a plastic bag and refrigerate until ready to use.
To make a sweet orange compost: Combine the sugar, orange juice, honey, vanilla, cinnamon, lemon juice, water, dried fruit, mango, coconut milk, and apple cider and blend until smooth in a blender.
If you have leftover pulp, use that instead.
Serve with crushed red pepper flakes, mango slices, or sliced banana. 3.5.3208
