Mario Balotelli, who scored in the 4-0 win over Liverpool last weekend, is also expected to miss this weekend’s Serie A clash with Lazio, the report says.
The Italy international, who missed the win at Anfield due to a knee injury, has not played since August, when he suffered a serious knee injury during the 4:1 defeat to Napoli.
After a difficult season, Mario Balotsi is unlikely to return to action this weekend.
However, he is likely to be absent for Sunday’s Serie B match against Lazio due to his calf injury.
Bale, who has scored 20 goals in 35 games this term, is not expected to be available for Sunday, either, despite being named in the squad for the match.
As expected, Italy’s squad features a host of players who have scored a total of 30 goals this season, including Balotellis two goal tally last season.
Lazio, on the other hand, are without a player in the 25-man squad who has a goal.
Balotelli scored his 20th goal in the league last weekend as Lazio beat Napoli 2-0 in the Serie A. Milan midfielder Leonardo Bonucci is also unlikely to be fit for the clash against Lazios, while Napoli’s Mario Balota is also not in the 23-man team.
Bonucci has just scored a brace in Serie A this season.
